Our products are available in dry or slurry form to fulfill a multitude of requirements.

Boron Carbide Powder
Diamond Powders
SILICON CARBIDE POWDER
Wurtzite Boron Nitride

Lapping / Grinding / Polishing

Many of our products can be used for various finishing applictions. Boron Carbide Powder can be used for polishing tungsten carbide and other hard materials. Superabrasives and abrasives can be used on vehicles and slurries.

Abrasives
Die & Mold Manufacturing

Wurtzite Boron Nitride with regular crystal shape particles is the perfect material for steel polishing applications such as molds, dies, etc.

Wurtzite Boron Nitride

Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Manufacturing

Our Diamond Powder is specifically developed using a shaping process allows the maximum performance of diamond particles in abrading and charging operations. Its low ionic content minimizes PTC (Pole Tip Corrosion).

We have numerous formulations of Lubricants for Mass Data Storage Industry applications. We also have a complete line for most of the hard drive industry applications such as texturing and MR Head processing.

Diamond Powders

Sand Blasting Nozzles

Boron Carbide is a choice material for sand blasting nozzles because it is abrasive resistant. One of the other advantages to using Boron Carbide nozzles is that they will provide a longer commercial life they are also used in a wide variety of industries.

OTHER APPLICATIONS

Electronics Industry

Aluminum oxides are frequently used in electronic applications such as precision insulators or in tools used for tuning sensitive electronic devices. Slurries and suspensions are available. We have a quality reverse osmosis DI water purification system for the electronic industry.

Aluminum Oxide Powder

Refractory

Several of our products are widely used for their refractory properties in many high temperature applications. The materials provide low thermal conductivity and high resistance to chemical attack.

Cutting / Slicing

With steel like strength, high hardness and an ultra fine grain size, Zirconias are finding an increasing number of applications as blade edges and cutting tools. Sapphire and quartz wire saw slicing is used in optics.

Boron Carbide Powder

Boronizing

Our boron carbide product (often used together with other materials) is used in a process that’s called Boronizing, which is a thermal chemical surface hardening process. Benefits of this process are many which include increased hardness, high temp and acid resistance. Boronizing created a wear resistance surfaces and extends the useful life of the component or tool treated.

Armor (Personal & Vehicle)

Boron Carbide and Silicon Carbide are used in the manufacture of armor plates for both personal and vehicle applications. Different ballistic specifications and applications will require variations in the manufacture of armor plates. We work closely with the manufacture of the armor plates to provide the appropriate custom made Boron Carbide and/or Silicon Carbide product to meet those ballistic requirements.

NUCLEAR

Nuclear Applications

Boron is an important material for nuclear radiation protection due to its high neutron absorption cross section. In addition, boron doesn't contain decay products with a long half-life and high-energy secondary radioactive materials. Since pure boron is extremely brittle and difficult to produce in shapes (for example: control rods) boron carbide is the material of choice to use since it provides a high concentration of boron atoms in a strong and refractory form and is relatively easy to fabricate.

Boron Carbide Powder

Oil and Gas Exploration

Boron Carbide is commonly used by the Oil and Gas industry in connection with underground exploration for a variety of applications including radiation shielding and absorption. If required our technical team will work with our customers to provide custom made products for specific applications.
