LANTHANUM OXIDE POWDERS

Lanthanum Oxide powders are employed in glass and ceramic products due to its ability to alter performance and properties. For product of glasses, La2O3 improves the alkali resistance, aids properties of infrared absorption, and increases the refractive index for such products as camera and telescope lenses, making them lighter.

Lanthanum is also deployed in several other common uses, including Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries for laptop computers, hand-held devices, and electric automobiles. Lanthanum Oxide Powder is also used in High Strength Low Allow (HSLA) steels for multiple applications.
